In addition to the above protocols, the Boston Westin Seaport District follows the city of Boston’s guidelines. These are subject to change.
Yes. We require all registrants to be up to date on coronavirus vaccinations before participating in the in-person conference.* We are unable to accept alternatives to vaccination, such as a negative COVID-19 test or immunity from prior infection.
These requirements are consistent with a growing trend for conferences and other events and activities.
*In accordance with America’s Essential Hospitals policy, up-to-date vaccination status is defined as having received the last required dose of a CDC- or WHO-recognized COVID-19 vaccine at least two weeks before the start date of the conference or event.
America’s Essential Hospitals has contracted with CLEAR Health Pass to coordinate verification of all documentation related to vaccinations. All attendees must use CLEAR Health Pass to verify vaccine status.
Closer to the event, all registered attendees will receive an email from America’s Essential Hospitals with instructions on how to upload your vaccination card. We strongly suggest anyone planning to attend VITAL2022 upload your verification before arrival, as on-site verification might delay your conference experience. Once your vaccination record has been uploaded to the platform, it can take up to 30 minutes to verify your status. We encourage all attendees to complete this process at least 24 hours before the event.
America’s Essential Hospitals requires all employees to be up to date on coronavirus vaccinations.
We strongly encourage attendees to bring their own masks that cover the nose and mouth, fit snugly against the sides of the face, and can be worn comfortably.
Masks will be available on-site if you need one.
Currently, there are no physical distancing mandates in Boston. However, we ask attendees to be mindful of fellow attendees who might be less comfortable with close contact or sharing spaces. Attendees will have the option to add stickers to their badge to indicate their comfort level for close contact.
We encourage all attendees to be aware of and use new and alternative business meeting etiquette. Optional badge stickers will be available to display your personal preferences for how other attendees will expect to engage with you.
Masks will be available on-site, and attendees will be reminded by event personnel to wear a properly fitted mask. Hand-sanitizing stations will be available throughout the conference space, and disposable disinfectant cloths, such as Lysol or Clorox wipes, will be available to wipe down shared space and equipment.
America’s Essential Hospitals is requiring all event attendees to be up-to-date on vaccines against COVID-19 before participating in any in-person association event.* We are working with CLEAR Healthpass to collect and process the vaccination documentation and more information will be made available closer to the event. Additionally, all event staff and attendees are required to wear masks. Masks will be available on-site if needed.
This requirement is consistent with the association’s policy for our staff and is becoming standard practice for in-person conferences and other events and activities.
*In accordance with America’s Essential Hospitals policy, up-to-date vaccination status is defined as having received the last required dose of a CDC- or WHO-recognized COVID-19 vaccine and a follow-up booster shot, if applicable, at least two weeks before the start date of the conference or event.
